Griffins Championship Bracket Challenge

This promotion is a skill-based contest and is not sponsored by, endorsed by, administered by, or associated with GM or the NCAA or any collegiate athletic organization.
1. Eligibility
Open only to legal residents of North Carolina and South Carolina who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry and who possess a valid U.S. driver’s license.
Dealership employees, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising agencies, and their immediate family and household members are eligible to participate, provided they otherwise meet all eligibility requirements.
The name and physical address on the entry must exactly match the name and address on the entrant’s valid U.S. driver’s license. Entry name must also match the individual who would register and title the vehicle if awarded.
Limit one (1) entry per person.
Limit one (1) prize per household. “Household” is defined as individuals residing at the same physical address, whether related or not. Sponsor reserves the right to determine household status in its sole discretion. If multiple entrants from the same household qualify for prizes, only the highest-value prize earned within that household will be awarded. All other qualifying entries from that household will be disqualified from prize eligibility, and the next highest eligible entrant will be selected.
Duplicate, automated, scripted, coordinated, or fraudulent entries will be disqualified.
Void where prohibited by law.
2. Key Dates and Timeline
Teams Announced: Sunday, March 15 at 7:00 PM Eastern Time
Entry Deadline: Thursday, March 19 at 12:15 PM Eastern Time
All bracket selections must be submitted prior to tip-off of the first scheduled game. No changes may be made after the deadline.
Winner Announcement: On or after April 7 following completion of all tournament games and verification of results.
Game outcomes and scoring will be based on officially published game results immediately following each game. Subsequent corrections, forfeitures, or vacated results will not affect contest scoring.
Sponsor reserves the right to adjust dates due to schedule changes beyond its control.
3. Entry Limit
Only the first 1,000 eligible entries received during the promotional period will qualify for Grand Prize and Second Prize eligibility.
4. How to Enter
Participants must complete and submit the official online bracket entry form prior to the entry deadline.
No purchase is required to enter or win.
Incomplete, inaccurate, unverifiable, or late entries may be disqualified.
5. Nature of Contest
This is a skill-based contest. Winners are determined based solely on the number of correctly predicted game outcomes.
Chance plays no role in determining winners except in the event of an unresolved tie as outlined in Section 7.
Total correct game predictions will determine ranking order for all prize tiers.
6. Prizes
Only one (1) prize will be awarded per prize tier. Limit one (1) prize per person and per household.
If an entrant qualifies for multiple prize tiers, the entrant will receive only the highest-value prize earned. All lower-tier prizes will be forfeited.
Under no circumstances will multiple prizes be awarded within the same prize tier.
All prize determinations are final.
Grand Prize – One (1)
If one or more entrants correctly select sixty-three (63) out of sixty-three (63) games, only one (1) Grand Prize will be awarded to the entrant who prevails under the tie-breaker procedures in Section 7.
Prize:

Prize consists of vehicle only. No cash substitution, transfer, or exchange permitted.
If no entrant correctly selects 63 of 63 games, the Grand Prize will not be awarded.
Vehicle color, trim, options, and equipment may vary based on available inventory at time of award. If the advertised vehicle is unavailable, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a dealer-designated vehicle of equal or lesser value.
Winner is solely responsible for:
All federal, state, and local taxes
Sales tax
Property tax
Title and licensing fees
Dealer documentation fee of $788
Registration costs
Insurance prior to delivery
Vehicle must be registered in the winner’s name.
Second Prize – One (1)
If one or more entrants correctly select sixty or more (60,61,62) out of sixty-three (63) games, only one (1) Second Prize will be awarded to the entrant who prevails under the tie-breaker procedures in Section 7.
Prize: $10,000
If no entrant correctly selects 60 of 63 games, the Second Prize will not be awarded.
Winner is responsible for all applicable taxes.
Third Prize – One (1)
Awarded to the highest remaining eligible entrant, based strictly on total correct game predictions, who has not won a higher-tier prize.
Prize: $2,500 vehicle purchase certificate valid toward the purchase of a new or pre-owned vehicle at Griffin Buick GMC.
Certificate:
Has no cash value
Is non-transferable
May not be combined with other offers
Must be used in one transaction
Cannot reduce purchase price below dealer cost
Expires 365 days from winner announcement
Fourth Prize – One (1)
Awarded to the next highest remaining eligible entrant, based strictly on total correct game predictions, who has not won a higher-tier prize.
Prize: $1,000 vehicle purchase certificate subject to the same terms above.
7. Tie-Breaker (Applies to All Prize Tiers)
If two or more entrants qualify for the same prize tier, ties will be resolved in the following order:
Closest to the actual total combined score of the Championship Game
If still tied, highest predicted winning team score
If still tied, earliest completed bracket submission based on official timestamp
If still tied, a random drawing conducted by Sponsor
Tie-breaker procedures will result in only one (1) winner per prize tier.
All decisions are final.
8. Tournament Disruption / Force Majeure
If any game, round, or the tournament itself is canceled, postponed, shortened, modified, or otherwise affected due to weather, public health events, rule changes, forfeiture, technical failure, or any circumstance beyond Sponsor’s control, Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the promotion and/or adjust prize criteria in a manner consistent with maintaining the skill-based nature of the contest.
Sponsor’s determination in such circumstances shall be final.
9. Odds
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received and participant performance.
10. Winner Verification
Potential winners are subject to verification of identity, residency, eligibility, and compliance with these Official Rules.
Sponsor reserves the right to verify household status to prevent prize stacking and may require additional documentation to confirm eligibility.
Winners may be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release, and Publicity Release within five (5) days of notification.
Prizes must be claimed within thirty (30) days of notification or may be forfeited.
11. Tax Reporting
Winners will receive an IRS Form 1099-MISC for any prize valued at $600 or more.
All federal, state, and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.
12. Limitation of Liability
By entering, participants agree to release and hold harmless Griffin Buick GMC, its owners, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, and representatives from any and all claims, liability, damages, or losses arising from participation in this promotion or acceptance, possession, or use of any prize.
Sponsor’s total liability shall not exceed the stated value of the prize awarded.
13. General Conditions
Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the contest if fraud, technical failures, administrative errors, clerical errors, or other factors impair the integrity or proper functioning of the promotion.
Sponsor is not responsible for technical malfunctions, internet interruptions, server delays, platform errors, or other technical issues that may affect entry submission or scoring.
By entering, participants grant Sponsor permission to use their name, likeness, and city of residence for promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.
All decisions by Sponsor are final.
14. Governing Law; Arbitration
This promotion and these Official Rules shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Mandatory Binding Arbitration
By participating in this promotion, entrants agree that any and all disputes, claims, or causes of action arising out of or related to this promotion or any prize awarded shall be resolved exclusively by final and binding arbitration, and not in court, except as otherwise provided herein.
Arbitration shall be administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) in accordance with its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect. The arbitration shall take place in Union County, North Carolina.
The arbitrator shall have the authority to award only actual out-of-pocket damages incurred by the entrant and shall not have the authority to award punitive, consequential, incidental, or special damages. Each party shall bear its own attorneys’ fees and costs unless otherwise required by law.
Class Action Waiver
All disputes shall be resolved on an individual basis only. Entrants waive the right to bring or participate in any class action, collective action, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate claims or preside over any form of representative or class proceeding.
Jury Trial Waiver
Entrants knowingly and voluntarily waive any right to a trial by jury in any proceeding arising out of or relating to this promotion.
If any portion of this arbitration provision is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect.
